Students will demonstrate their understanding by both summarizing the main points of the provided article, and by providing their own, personal responses to the article and
how it relates to adolescent psychology. Check out the provided rubric for specific questions you might want to make sure
you answer in your summary.
Other important points:
-Papers should be 3 to 4 pages, double spaced, 12 Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins. Use complete sentences (no bulleted lists).
You should have 5 main sections of your paper, each labeled clearly:
-introduction/hypothesis
-Methods: researchers questions sent out to x number of people, questionnaires, blood samples, exc.
-Discussion was it supported or not. Was hypothesis correct or not. What relationship did they find between the variables .
-Limitations/implications: talk about limitations of study or implications. Here are the things we did it turned out pretty well there were some things we could do better, maybe we didnt get a good enough sample of people across the US. -Implications: how is this relevant to the world around us. Future directions to do with the study the next study we do could look like this
–Personal reflections section: own original personal thoughts, do the findings make since to you , why or why not.. Whats your reaction to this, does this make since to you, do you agree with the findings of the study, explain yourself whats going through your mind.
