Three key Questions to ask and Answer When Reading Research Studies Determining the authenticity and scientific application of findings from research studies is critical and this should be done by asking certain answerable questions that satisfies human curiosity and proffer solutions to different problems. Regarding the research study overview described in the discussion question one, three questions are imperative. The first question should be what the unit of analysis was. Considering the study, the unit of analysis was declared as female primary caregivers of the preschoolers who were selected using convenience sampling method. As it is for most studies involving human subjects, it could be deduced that the appropriate unit of analysis was chosen for the study. Another vital question to ask is the generalizability of the results in respect to the sample size Feldman & Wihbey, 2015). Two hundred and eighty six caregivers partook in the study, although the inclusion and exclusion criteria were analyzed, the sample size for that kind of study seemed scanty for it to be scientifically generalized. Meanwhile, the study was conducted in a part of Michigan which may not even be the poorest state the United States. In addition, composition of the study sample in terms of age, race, gender, and geographic location is vitally important. The study significantly involved 69.2% of non-Hispanic white. Considering this, the sample size was small, and the result may not be generalized to all mothers or caregivers in low income households. The third pressing question would be on limitations of the research. Information about limitation is essential in determining the strength of the presented evidence of a study (Feldman & Wihbey, 2015; Smith, 2015). The researchers failed to provide study limitation, and this renders the result of their study questionable. REFERNCES Feldman, J. & Wihbey, J. (2015).
