Guidelines for Preparing an Infographic Information graphics or Infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly. An infographic contains data that is focused, sorted, arranged, and presented visually.
The content is your wellbeing plan and the course ideas that have informed that plan. It will include the following:
• Evidence that the socio-cultural approach has informed your plan
• References to your personal & professional wellbeing (specific points – i.e. relevant to you) • Evidence that resilience will be part of your development as a teacher (practical responses supporting your ongoing growth)
• Evidence of goals and practical strategies (for supporting wellbeing and building resilience) • Beginning and early career development dimensions (about the first year of teaching and beyond)
• Timelines (shorter-term [1st year] and longer-term [beyond 1st year])
Hints: Do take time to consider what it is that makes an infographic work well. This includes getting the right balance between quality and quantity of information. Sometimes less is more if the right detail is chosen. Use of colours and images add visual impact. Sometimes the right image can convey information more efficiently than the use of many words.
