1) What does it mean to be Machiavellian? Which of the eight figures portrayed in “Real Lives in the Sixteenth Century” do you think best expemplified Machiavelli’s approach to leadership as described the “The Prince”?
2) “Real Lives in the Sixteenth Century” provides comparisons of two figures at the end of each chapter. Choose two figures not previously compared by the author and write your own comparison for them. Do not use the figure you discussed in question #1. How did they respond to their situation? How do they compare in terms of leadership ability? How did a difference in historical contexts impact their actions?
