Read Chapter 3 in the textbook and post to the Discussion Board with the following:
-Write a 2-3 sentence summary of the chapter. A summary is taking what the chapter is about and putting it in your own words (think of what you would say if you were in a conversation and someone asked you what the chapter is about).
-Pick your favorite image from the chapter (indicate this by describing the image and putting what page it is on. Note that the online version of the textbook does not have page numbers, so give us a good description!).
-Analyze the Image: Based on what you’ve learned about aperture and shutter speed tell us:
Whether the photographer used a large aperture to show shallow depth of field or a small aperture to show deep depth of field.
-OR-
If there is motion, did the photographer use a fast shutter speed to freeze motion or a slow shutter speed to show blurred motion?
-Tell us WHY you picked this image. “I like it” is NOT enough! Tell us WHY you liked it. Some ways to figure why you like an image is to ask yourself questions such as: How does this make me feel? Does this remind me of something/someone/a memory? What was the photographer trying to communicate?
