Final Project Summary of Tasks
The final project will require students to partner with an outside organization and analyze the current legal and ethical systems that are in place. Students will need to apply information learning during the term to recommend new frameworks and strategies for the organization to use in order to improve their legal and ethical standards if needed. The submissions for the final project will include a written report and a presentation.
Assignment Purpose
By partnering with outside organizations and practicing the application of frameworks and strategies the student will have an opportunity to prove learning and course objective mastery through experiential learning.
Deadline One Instructions and Tasks
Identify an outside organization that you would like to partner with. Ideally, this organization focuses primarily on community health or health promotion/education. If you have current connections to an individual within an organization I would start by asking them if they would be available to provide information for you on the legal and ethical rules/laws/policies within their organization. I understand that many health-related agencies are overworked and understaffed during the pandemic. If you are unable to identify a person within an organization that can assist you with this project, choose an organization that has a wealth of organizational information online.
Submit the following information by the due date for your first assignment.
1, Organization Name and Website if applicable. Why did you choose this organization?
2. Individual contact within the organization, their role, title, and responsibilities. If you are not able to work directly with an employee, identify the person in charge of legal and ethical policies within the organization and include their title and responsibilities.
3. Include the mission, vision, and core values of the organization. This information can be copied and pasted from a website or other company materials. Just include the source of where you found the information.
4. Summarize the primary ethical and legal policies that directly relate to the work of your chosen individual or the organization as a whole. Submit a minimum of three issues or policies, with a paragraph describing each.
