To Prepare:
Click on the United Nations website in the Learning Resources this week and review Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal 4: Quality Education.
Review the articles related to the SGDs in the Learning Resources this week. Unlike previous weeks, you will not need to cite them in your Discussion this week.
Conduct a Walden Library search for at least two peer-reviewed articles for each SDG this week. You will need to cite this literature in your Discussion.
Take note of your search process and the search terms you use to find your peer-reviewed articles. You will need to share this process in the Discussion this week.
For each SDG, use the CQ Researcher database in the Learning Resources this week to search for and select a news article—a current or historical event—that is either directly or indirectly related to the respective SDG.
For example, if you were searching for an event related to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation (from Week 2), you might select a news article like the one by Jennifer Weeks that is provided in the Optional Resources this week.
If needed, review the resource “Questions About CQ Researcher Site Features: How Do I Find What I Am Looking for on CQ Researcher?” in the Optional Resources this week.
By Day 4
Post to your Discussion, addressing the following in your post:

Cite the peer-reviewed articles you found for each SDG. Under each citation, explain why you selected the article and how your selection highlights aspects of Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal 4: Quality Education from the United Nation’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).
In 5–7 sentences, describe the relationships between the SDGs and the news articles you found. For example, how could the SDGs address the problems identified in the news articles? Or how do the events of the news articles contribute to the progress of the SDGs?
Describe the process you used to conduct your literature searches this week. Address the following questions:
Describe anything you did differently in your library database search process to expand your search and select two articles for each SDG this week.
Describe your search process for selecting a news article. How did you decide on your selection?
Compare the process you used to search for peer-reviewed literature to the process you used to search for lay literature (your news articles).
For each SDG, be sure to cite at least two peer-reviewed articles and one news article of your own finding
