Title: Given the Holocaust, provide an argument for or against the existence of a monotheistic God, such as that in Judaism or Christianity. Can such a God exist given the Holocaust?

-Emil Fackenheim: selections from God’s Presence in History*
He doesn’t care about our opinion. He just cares about what the people we have been reading have to say about that appraising and whether their arguments are valid or not. It’s important to be concise and think carefully about how you want to summarize and address the various people we are talking about.
