Reflection Paper Prompt: Forensic Anthropologists working in the medico-legal profession may not feel that they can avoid including “race” in the big four when identifying a decedent, but this is something that needs further reflection. In a 2-page paper, write a reflection based on the assigned lab readings for this week (see Canvas). Answer the following questions:
Do you think Forensic Anthropology should continue to include “race” in the “Big Four?” Why or why not?
Does it do more harm than good?
Does changing the classification from “race” to “ancestry” help?
Are there possible alternatives?
