When you were in school, I bet there were programs called “Honors” or “Advanced Placement.” I bet you even had them in elementary school with cute names such as “The Discover Program” or the “The G&T” program. Maybe you were in one of those programs–maybe not. Read the article called, ” Advanced Placement as a lever for social justice .” Write a short paper in which you discuss whether we are giving all kids the chance to be all they can be. Is the playing field level? In your paper, you can certainly refer to the article, but feel free to go beyond it to other things you have read.
