Your paper assignment will require you to accomplish three tasks:
1) Read the following three articles:
Arredondo, D. E. (2003). Child development, children’s mental health and the juvenile justice system: Principles for effective decision-making. Stanford Law & Policy Review, 14(1), 13-28. You can download this article here.
Draine, J., Salzer, M. S., Culhane, D. P., & Hadley, T. R. (2002). Role of social disadvantage in crime, joblessness, and homelessness among persons with serious mental illness. Psychiatric Services, 53(5), 565-573. You can download this article here.
Richie, B. E. (2001). Challenges incarcerated women face as they return to their communities: Findings from life history interviews. Crime & Delinquency, 47(3), 368-389. You can download this article here.
2) Once you have read each of these articles, summarize the content of each article. Make sure that your summary of each article is at least one page long. Do not use bullet points to summarize the content of each article. Do not cut and paste content from the articles as part of your summary. Make sure to summarize each article’s content in your own words.
3) Write a two to four page analysis of the intersections of each article. As part of your analysis, make sure to identify where there is significant overlap in the topical material of each of the three articles. In other words, what are the similarities within the content of each article?
