Group members:
Determine an s/z ratio and maximum vowel duration for each member of the group (4 pts). Procedure: Using a stop watch have each member of group prolong /s/ as long as possible on one breath, then for /z/. Two trials then determine the ratio on trial that had closer /s/ and /z/ values. Record below the range of ratios for group.
MVD: Prolong the vowel /a/ for as long as possible. Do two trials and record longest time. Again record range for group.
