Be sure to construct an argument that includes thoughtful references to texts. Please also be familiar with the basic structure of an essay: introduction, statement of the main argument, supporting evidence and reasoning, counter-arguments and why they do or do not obtain, and conclusion.
Please write a paper to answer the following question: Which is more important to a just polity: the character of the citizens or the structure of the institutions? Discuss with reference to Rawls and Rousseau.
Additional reminder:
1. Other references are not needed, but if you feel like one, you may add one external source.
2. Please be aware that citing at least five references I uploaded above is mandatory. (The files named ” third reference, RousseauOn the Social Contract, and rawls1″ must be included in the paper.)
3. Although Rawls and Rousseau should be mentioned, including other thinkers in the paper is also acceptable, and I highly recommend that.
