You are required to complete an individual research proposal in this course. You will identify a research topic of your choosing, provided it is within the field of criminal justice and criminology. There are two parts to this: a short research proposal and a full research proposal.
This assignment will only consist of the first half, which will be the short research proposal. Please make sure it makes sense and follows the directions given as I will need to build on the full proposal from this.
Please look at the supplemental readings because they will provide you with examples of how I expect your full research proposal to be formatted. These articles will all include an introduction, literature review, methodology, etc. These are completed studies, which yours will not be, so pay close attention up to the analyses of these articles.
General requirements for the short research proposal
Double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font (no font variations; no bold or italics; no bullet points)
Between 2 and 3 pages
One-inch margins on all sides; not right-justified
Follow APA guidelines for formatting of page numbers, running head, etc.
No direct quotations
