OVERVIEW
The importance for leaders to be effective was emphasized throughout the proceeding modules.
The challenge we want to address in this assignment is how leadership effectiveness can be
measured. Effective managers can be measured on the extent that goals or tasks are achieved, but
leadership is not a position that focuses on tasks but rather a relational process with follower(s).
Consequently, indirect approaches may be more applicable. The purpose of this assignment is to
familiarize the student with scholarly content that could potentially be applied directly in current
workplace responsibilities along with future research studies in leadership development.
INSTRUCTIONS
Write a literature review on leadership A literature review on different approaches to measure
leadership effectiveness. The purpose of this literature review is to demonstrate a knowledge on
the different approaches in understanding and measuring leadership effectiveness. Compare and
contrast a secular approaches and biblical approaches for measuring leadership effectiveness.
You can take this topic in whatever direction is most relevant to your research interests. For
example, if your research interest is the role of HR leaders in minimizing employee turnover,
you can search for articles more specific to that context and application.
Content should be a minimum of 4-5 pages in length not including the title and reference
pages.
Include a minimum of 8 peer reviewed articles.
Articles should also be included in the separate reference page.
Quality of content should support academic level standards as specified in grading rubric
including APA 7 formatting, depth of analysis, clarity of writing, and organization of
content.
