Create an Eco Art: World Beach Project (60 points) The World Beach Project, initiated by artist Sue Lawty, was a global art project open to anybody, anywhere, of any age. Building on the experience many of us have of making patterns on beaches and shorelines, this project combines the simplicity of making patterns with stones with the complexities of shape, size, color, tone, composition, similarity and difference. To complete this assignment, you need to find a local beach (ocean, river, lake, creek, etc.), create an eco-artwork on the beach using stone only, take few before and after photos, and type your report (250 words). Please include the following information: (1) Date and Time, (2) Location, (3) Creative Process/Inspiration, (4) few before and after pictures of your artwork, and (5) a short reflection about the experience. It is optional; however, you are encouraged to take a short video of your artwork onsite. To clarify, (1) DO NOT shape or sculpt sand, soil or shingle; (2) DO NOT draw in the sand, and (3) DO NOT add driftwood, shells, seaweed, or any flotsam and jetsam that is not a stone. The essence of the project is to create the patterns reflect the geology of the place more than mans impact on it.
