For this assignment, you will interview an individual at a local agency about their understanding of multicultural practice within human services. This interview should be about 30–45 minutes and should be treated as an open-ended interview, letting your colleague discuss their understanding of multicultural practice and more specifically what multicultural practice looks like within the agency. Your presentation should make a clear connection between how the interviewee describes multiculturalism at the agency and the course objective of evaluating the role of multiculturalism and diversity as it relates to the history, purpose, and major policies of human services.

For this assignment, please respond to the following:
Slide 1: Title Slide
Slide 2: Interviewee and Agency Information
Introduce your interviewee (using pseudonym). Provide the name of agency (using pseudonym), years that your interviewee has been at the agency, and the interviewee’s role within agency.
Slides 3 & 4: Multiculturalism in Practice
Briefly explain how the interviewee defines multiculturalism, what it looks like at the agency (i.e., mission and vision of agency), and what it looks like in practice (i.e., how the interviewee centers multiculturalism and diversity in their work with clients).
Slides 5 & 6: Agency Program
Research and identify a program within the agency.
Explain the program’s purpose or mission, location/demographics, target population, and interventions provided within the program.
Discuss how the program promotes multiculturalism and diversity based on what your interviewee shared with you during the interview.
Slides 7, 8, & 9: Agency Policy
Identify a policy within the agency that promotes social justice and responds to inequality, institutional discrimination, and racism that affects diverse populations.
Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of both the policy and the program in terms of how well it addresses multiculturalism and diversity.
For example, does the policy and program specifically reach out to diverse populations or does it ignore or limit the multicultural dimensions of helping?

What recommendations would you make to strengthen the agency’s level of responsiveness to inequality, social justice, institutional discrimination, and racism based on what you learned during your interview and what you found in your own research?
