Your paper must have a clearly defined objective. The research component requires that you specify a methodology to accomplish your objective. In addition, you must provide a section on “Literature Review” where you can quote other works on the same topic. Provide a “Reference” section at the end of your paper with at least 3 references, including a scholarly book or academic journal. Your course paper must be on one of the following three macroeconomic topics: 1. The Great Recession of 2008 (Causes and Consequences) 2. An Analysis of the Housing Market Crash Leading to the Great Recession of 2008 3. U.S. Tax Structure (Is it designed to help the poor?) Once you have selected a topic, be sure to thoroughly review the subject’s literature. The minimum length of your course paper is 8 pages, double-spaced without the title page and reference page. Organize your paper into five sections: 1. Introduction and Objective: Make sure the objective (or argument) is specific. 2. Literature Review: Conduct research and summarize the works of others based on the topic of your paper. For proper citation, make sure to follow APA guidelines.
