Option B: Write a 500+ word proposal about your RI. This will include a draft of your guiding Research Question(s) related to geography of South EastAsia(1 or 2 total). You will also explain how your RI relates to Geographies of Southeast Asia, and whether it relates to a specific course theme, or a theme not covered in our course. Then you will provide a (correctly ordered and formatted) bibliography of texts you will annotate. The texts should be from scholarly journals or academic presses, and must be peer reviewed. The texts must have been published within the past 15 years. Finally, you will write a draft thesis statement about each text.
You may choose to write this in any form. I recommend addressing each component as a separate section or paragraph (so, a paragraph on your Research Question(s), a paragraph about how your RI relates to Geographies of SEA, a bibliography, and separate “paragraphs” for each thesis statement (while indicating which text it corresponds to). You may write more than one paragraph for any given question, and you may write more than 500 words if necessary to answer all of the above questions.
NOTE: You may choose either 2 books and 3 articles (5 sources) or 6 articles. Remember that texts must have been published within the past 15 years and may not be materials from our class.
