The write up should include a brief description of the topic on which you intend to write, your thesis statement, the theoretical approach you will take to your topic, and an explanation of how this topic relates to the content of the course. You will also include a preliminary bibliography of sources that you have consulted in regards to this topic on a separate page (not included in the page count).
