What are mycotoxins specifically? Why do some molds produce them? What types of foods and conditions favor growth of molds and therefore mycotoxins?
Comment on the following: Not all moldy feeds/foods contain mycotoxins; Not all feeds/foods containing mycotoxins are toxic; Feed/food does not have to look moldy to be contaminated; and toxins may not be uniformly distributed
