For this and for the final, you have to choose a multinational company, already present in Germany or Switzerland (like i.e. Nestle, Lindt, Roche, Novartis, Glencore, ABB, Khne & Nagel International, Sulzer, Logitech, SAP, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, BMW, BASF, Siemens, Wrth, Bayer AG, Audi, Telekom, Addidas, Vodaphone, Puma, Ford, TUI, Robert Bosch, Mediamarkt-Saturn-Metro Holding, ALDI, Hilti …) country.
You will be researching this company in much detail, so it would be helpful to choose a firm that interests and motivates you.
In this interim assessment you are to focus on your country:
Review programmes to attract foreign companies to your country
Describe the tax regime and rates
Describe the company of your choice
Establish how and when they entered your country and changes have taken place (if any) since entry.
Outline their marketing mix.
Now please note:
In the final assessment you will be considering the same company in its global operations. However, you will be addressing different elements in that paper.
The word count does not include the Table of Contents and list of references. Appendices are excluded as well.
This paper must be later extended (in a second order) to 4000 words paper.
Now you must research and analyse the factors which are relevant to its international marketing strategy formulation in a globalised marketplace.
While analysing this, you need to have considered the following:
– Activities of the company, worldwide operations, country of origin, your country- 1000 words
– A brief overview of its equity structure -listed or not, major shareholders, share price
– 200 words
– Legal and Management structures: -400 words
-Brand and branding: company, product: 1200 words
-Marketing mix as it may be applied: 1200 words
