First, return to the UNSDG Webpage: https://sdgs.un.org/goals (Links to an external site.) and skim through the Overview, Targets and Indicators, and Progress and Info sections once again for the SDG you chose last week in Discussion 4 (or choose a new one if you did not find that interesting).
Next, addressing each SDG will require many economic, social, and political changes. From the UNs discussion in the targets and indicators section, list and label one needed economic change, one social, and one political. Here is an example from a previous student researching SDG 11:
A social issue from this goal was target 11.4, which was to strengthen efforts to protect and safeguard the worlds cultural and natural heritage (United Nations, 2022).
Target 11.5 is an economic issue that seeks to decrease the direct economic losses relative to global gross domestic product caused by disasters (United Nations, 2022).
Target 11.1 is a political issue that seeks to provide access to safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems for all, improving road safety, notably by expanding public transport (United Nations, 2022).
Pick one of those changes and research outside policy recommendations on how to make that change. Explain these thoroughly in your own words.
Finally, for your two responses to fellow students, comment on how their discussion has connections to the recommendation you chose.
Your post must be at least 300 words (NOT including citations). Do not COPY AND PASTE quotes from online sources, write everything in your own words. Cite all web resources and referenced materials that were used. You must use the APA citation style format in listing references used and in parenthetical citations (New York Times, 2015) (for assistance go to the USF Library Citation Assistance page (Links to an external site.)).
