In this paper, focus on language issues in international communication. Choose TWO European countries that each speak a different language than English. Answer the following questions in your analysis of these countries: (1) What is the population size of each country? (2) What language(s) do people in each country speak on a daily basis? (3) Can you speak their language(s) if you meet a person in that country? (4) Do you know anybody in your life who speaks their language(s)? (5) Do they have an English language media in their country? (6) If YES, how different or similar is it from the American media you use on a regular basis? If NO, how would you persuade people in that country to start one there? Give your strongest rationale and indicate how likely people in that country would accept your suggestion. Finally, (7) What possible technological issues can you think that may stand in the way. Highlight in you analysis any theories or concepts you borrowed from our textbook.
