ORIGINAL POST: Pick a movie you find particularly visually unique. Something that, to you, doesn’t really look like any other movie. In your main post, provide links to stills and/or YouTube clips from the movie.

RESPONSE POST: Find someone else’s post and take a look at the stills and video they provided. For your response to their post, search for works of art that could possibly have served as visual references for the lighting, composition, and color (to be discussed in the next chapter) of the film. These do not have to be actual references for the film. Just works of art that share traits with the look of the movie you’re responding to. DO NOT use other movies as references. Focus on photography, painting, graphic novels… non-cinematic visual arts. Find TWO different references and describe how they could have inspired the look of the movie and provide links to the images in your response.
Be specific and analytical in your response. This is worth double the points of the usual discussion board, so I expect some thoughtful research and analysis.
