Your task is to answer the following questions regarding Shaken Baby Syndrome. You may use any resources you wish, but please remember to quote and cite as necessary.
1. Describe some of the specific (more than just “head injury”, for example) physical consequences experienced by the infant who has been shaken.
2. Provide an Internet video resource and an Internet page handout (the video and handout do not need to be from the same site) that you would suggest for a parent to learn more about the condition? Provide the links and a brief description why you think of the link as valuable. (For example, if I wanted you to know more about depression, then I would look for a video to help you learn, but also some sort of handout that you could have that might summarize information about the condition. I would then tell you why, specifically, I thought that those resources were selected.)
3. Think forward about (in your opinion) how an infant experiencing SBS might be affected cognitively (ability to think, learn and reason), socially (ability to interact with others), and emotionally (express and exhibit appropriate control of feelings) by the preschool years. Make sure to address each domain in separate paragraphs. (Use your text as a reference if you get stuck.)
