Create an “information sheet” or “client handout” on ONE mineral of your choice. Imagine this is a “deliverable” you give to your client during an education session to teach them about your chosen mineral. I prefer you to choose a mineral that you are not familiar with already. The info graphic/handout should address the following criteria using paragraph format in each answer. Remember you may not copy and paste your information. Write in your own words, and remember to consider your client’s “healthcare literacy”–avoid medical jargon and make your teaching easy to understand. Remember to include a title and reference page. Use at least one reference (your text is ok, or another reputable reference–or both.) Function(s) Absorption, control, and excretion Dietary reference intakes Source(s) of the mineral Interfering factor(s) or substances that may limit absorption of the mineral Deficiency Toxicity
