Instructions:
Read the Appendix in Chapter 5 in Snell, S.A. & Morris, S.H. (2019). Managing Human Resources(18th ed.). Boston, MA: Cengage Learning, INC..
Look at parts A1, A2, and A3a. If you are currently working and have a career path (this is not your first or second year in the workforce), focus on Sections A1 and A3a and create a career plan that details the skills and abilities (A1) you will need to advance to the positions you want to achieve (A2) and why those positions are of interest/are exciting to you (A3a).
If you haven’t really worked or done a lot of unrelated work/gig work, you will need to start with section A3a, figuring out your interests so that you can envision a career path (section A2) based on those interests. After outlining your career plan and why you want that path, explain what skills and abilities you will need to cultivate in order to advance through your career path.
