Compose a Scenario, for this assignment imagine you are creating reality-based training for your department. your scenarios should address a key point of the NEW statute language.
Follow this format:
Context of scenario: this is where the narrative or scriipt is set up. to read and learn how to set up the scenario. this section should describe the whole scenario from start to finish.
Officer Briefing: this is the background information proved for the student who is acting out the scenario. this is similar to what you would receive on a CAD call screen as an officer. this is what the student needs in order to act and complete the scenario.
Terminal objectives: this is where you clearly define the outcome(s) you want your student to end the scenario by using good verbal de-escalation or do they need to use deadly force appropriately given the constraints OF THE STATUTE it’s your choice as long as it demonstrates your understanding of the statute.
Terminal Objectives Discussions; This is where you explain the justification for the force you decided for your officer(s) to make in your scenario. this should include at least one reference to the MN state statute 609.066 and how you expect it to be applied to your scenario.
