This week we will be discussing ethics and more in descriiptive statistics. We will be pulling together everything we have learned so far and seeing how all these statistical practices help support evidenced based medicine. You have 2 assignments due at the end of the week. One is another article analysis but with the addition of ethics, there is a new format. You need to put in this analysis an overview of the conclusion and if you see any bias or ethical issues with the article. Always look at your methods section and sampling overview, these 2 areas usually will show any ethical issues. The 2nd assignment is a mathwork sheet. There are simple statistics you will need to calculate from the data, most excel sheets will calculate these math equations for you or you can do by hand. There are many videos on the web or simply search Khan academy for reviews. You are also asked on this worksheet to give a conclusion on the statistics calculated, make sure you are answering all parts and providing statistics for each demographical group.
