Describe the topic, concept, idea, or approach that is going to be the central idea for your Info graphic. There is no minimum word count but please use several well thought-out sentences to make your point. Part II: Source Evaluation Worksheet (attached) – Find a minimum of three (3) sources; two (2) academic/scholar sources and one (1) article (quality online or newspaper article). – Annotate your list of sources, i.e. explain what you hope to get out of these readings and how it will help you argue your point. We’ll use well-structured arguments to persuade the audience of what we believe to be the truth using evidence from authoritative, unbiased sources as justification. Not every assignment in college needs to be a three to five page paper because in our everyday life we have to critically evaluate symbols, images, and graphics. Info graphics are used to communicate complex ideas in a visually pleasing, yet simple to understand manner. Create an Info graphic that communicates an argument in a visually pleasing manner. With the use of NO Fallacies, this assignment will not be used to manipulate, but persuade based on facts and logical reasoning. When creating your info graphic, please consider the following: – Use an Info graphic program such as Pontchartrain, Vise, Easel.ly, MS Publisher, et terrace. For many of these you will need an account for them to work properly (they will still be free). – Use copyright free images (included in the Info graphic program used). – Include text to explain your argument and describe your position. – Include data to support your argument. – Include at least four sources in the Info graphic. – Include References at the bottom of the Info graphic.
