As a middle class developed in the United States, it was inevitable that after the working classes were able to achieve a level of autonomy and balance with their corporate employers, other major groups of socially disadvantaged persons would seek redress.
Write an essay summarizing each of the underlying social themes that became known as Feminism, Counterculture, Black Power, and the Chicano Movement. In your summary, include their development backgrounds and intellectual leaders. In addition, for each movement, cite one goal achieved and one goal remaining.
