To collect the secondary data, I will take a sample of 10 states out of the population of 50, based on the number of gun violence committed and try to present evidence that fewer crimes are committed by lawful gun owners.
The variables I plan to collect are qualitative and quantitative
1. For each state, are permits required for firearm ownership? Yes/No (Qualitative)
2. How many guns have been confiscated because of gun violence in each of the states selected? (Quantitative)
3. Of the guns collected, how many were legally purchased? (Quantitative)
4. Was the crime committed by the legal owner of the gun? Yes/no (Qualitative)
This project involves percentages.
