I have a written assignment that does not meet the requirement and I don’t understand how to make it work. I will provide the feedback I got. The literature review is the only section that need to be revised.

This is the requirement:
Develop a narrative literature review that logically flows from the broadly defined problem to more specific research questions, using fifteen sources that meet each of the following guidelines:

contains relevant academic or professional literature related to the research topic
is published by a scholarly source
can be retrieved online

This is the feedback I got:
The submission includes a narrative with consecutive paragraphs that appear just to summarize each source used. Missing is a synthesized literature review exploring different themes related to the research problem being addressed.

This is from the instructor:
The essay is written as a narrative essay. Imagine that you need to sell your idea to a group of investors. They cant look up all your sources and wont read your annotated bibliography. The investors arent experts in your field either, but they do need to duly informed.

The idea is to move from your topic and problem into the current professional thinking on your topic and problem. Youve already digested your annotated bibliography and other info and are now feeding it to the investors as a tasty, packaged meal. Then you slide into your purpose and questions for the finale. This essay is really an introduction to a potential, full-fledged, research paper.

Your goal is to synthesize the info youve learned into a narrative passage. You dont want your paragraphs to feel like beads on a string where each bead is one of the items in your bibliography.
