Identify a legal or ethical issue (relative to diversity and/or inclusion) The lack of staffing resources in Maryland schools, that impacts service delivery for students with special needs. Using information from the internet, educational journals and/or personal experiences that clearly identifies the issue and discusses why and how it impacts service delivery for students with disabilities. Students will clearly indicate their stand on the issue and identify the agency that can address the issue. (2 pages in all) *
-Part II: Students will write an explanation and their concerns about it in a letter addressed to the agency. (1 page letter) *
-A maximum of 3 pages (double-spaced), APA format, 12 font size, is required.
-Organization/Structure/Grammar 10 Points: Students will receive a maximum of 5 points for having a 3 page which includes the letter to the identified agency, double spaced, 12-point font paper, APA format, with at least 3 citations, and a traditionally drafted formal letter. Students will receive a maximum of 5 points for having minimal (no more than 3) grammatical errors in their writings.
-Content 5 Points: Students will receive a maximum of 5 points for well-developed paragraphs that state a clear legal issue, clear impact that said issue has on students with disabilities, clear research, and a clear stance on the issue.
