She shared the pre-operative visit program with the attendants.
The reporters gave the following for Discussion on floor:
1. The target group only for the patients undergo scoliosis operation. It is good to extend to other type of pediatric orthopedic surgery and involve their parents
2. Pre-op visit also particularly essential for same day admission for surgery as the children need to go to OT theater in the early morning on his admission day. It is very stressful to both parents & patients for such hurry and unknown without preparation in advance.
3. Suggest to explore the the best time for pre-op visit.
4. Suggest to have a pre-op nurse coordinator to liaise the service for all the cases pre-operatively.
