Discuss about a group that taught you the issues facing our community and we volunteered at low income elementary and middle schools to tutor students and run sexual health and drug abuse campaigns.
Activity 2: joining a club in college which focused on cancer awareness. taking leadership roles in the club and then as a board member founded a nonprofit which allows us to spread our club to other colleges
Activity 3: going to India and volunteering with a charitable trust which provided meals to the very underprivileged that lived in the slums in a village
Activity 4: when COVID hit I wanted to help so I got a job as a scribe at an urgent care in Charlotte. worked with a DO as well as PAs, NPs, nurses, paramedics, and MAs. we worked with patients to get tested, vaccinated, and gave treatments like pills and monoclonal antibodies. The urgent care also provided assistance to those who can’t afford care or insurance so they could still get the care they need without worrying too much.
Conclusion: bringing it all together and explaining why I chose DO school: helping the underserved.
