The purpose of the virtual site visitation paper is for you to:
o Demonstrate the understanding of major concepts, principles and theories associated with
cognitive, physical and social-emotional development of children and adolescents.
o Apply concepts presented/discussed in class, and found in readings, with particular attention to
the dynamics of your case study.
o Explore and discuss the various cultural and contextual influences on child and/or adolescent
development, the similarities between children and families of different cultures, and the
variations that may occur within cultures.
You may do this assignment in pairs. Due to the continuing situations that school districts have faced
with the Covid-19 pandemic, the site visitation is “virtual” and is focused on services to individuals with
disabilities and their families in inclusive K-12 classroom as well as other service models. Your
