The research question or research topic proposal should be introduced and contextualized on page one of your proposal. The length of this section of your paper should not exceed 1-1.5 page (single-spaced, 12-point New Roman or similar font). You are free to format this section of your proposal as a combination of paragraphs and bullet-point entries. The second section of the proposal will include an advanced draft of your sources or a well- developed starting bibliography of 10-12 sources. The sources must be briefly annotated (2-3 sentences per source) and explain your reasoning behind the selection of each particular source. Most of the chosen sources at this stage will be secondary sources, such as books, scholarly journals, book chapters, etc. If applicable to your research project (option 1: original research paper), the list should also include a small number of representative selection of primary sources.
