Did you know:
A Micro level is the smallest level of something. For example, in a family setting the micro level would be an individual in the family.
The Meso level, also known as Mezzo, would be the larger level. For example, if I were describing a traditional family, I would describe the nuclear family (mom, dad, daughter and son), as the meso level. But if I were just speaking about the daughter independently, I would be using the micro approach.
The Macro level is the largest level. If I were speaking of this family’s extended family
(grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins), then I would be speaking of the Macro level.
Another example:
Individual = Micro
Tribe = Meso
All the tribes = Macro
