Food politics is an umbrella term with many components and controversies. The Internet abounds with information—some of it is evidence-based but others may be a biased website/podcast sponsored by a particular food industry or lobby.
The goal of this assignment is for each student to come up with 3 different resources that focus on one or more aspects of food politics. For this assignment, you must find one blog, one website and one podcast to review. These must be free resources, not ones that you must pay to join.
For each blog, website and podcast, find one that is credible, evidence –based and deals with food politics (NOT nutrition nor diet). Why do you think this is a good, objective resource.
Submit a 2-3 page document with the source listed (blog, website and podcast) and then 3-4 paragraph descriiption. Include the writers/authors who are hosting the site and their credentials/previous work, any sponsorship or ads on the site and the focus of the resource. Critique the website for it’s usefulness to consumers and describe what the intended purpose is for the website.
