Using the requirements above, read the information below and respond accordingly:
You are the Corporate Security Manager of a large high-rise building in a major U.S.
city. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has received information that a terrorist attack
is being planned for one of the buildings in your city. Using the four basic steps of an
Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) program, describe in detail how you will
prepare and respond to the potential threats.
As a guide, the four basic steps of an effective risk management program as outlined in
chapter three of Dempsey’s Introduction to Private Security e-book are:
identification of risks or specific vulnerabilities
analysis and study of these risks to your “critical assets,” which includes the
likelihood and degree of an event occurring.
optimization and selection of risk management alternatives, e.g. risk mitigation,
risk elimination, risk acceptance, etc.
