Course Learning Outcomes Addressed Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to: Demonstrate ways to support children and families in order to prevent and reduce the occurrence of abuse in our society. How? There are two parts to this assignment. The creative artifact and the written component. Your specific focus of your artifact is your choice. You are required to create something that achieves the goals to the project, raising awareness about child abuse, or preventing child abuse, or contributes towards ending child abuse. How you do that is your choice. Q3. How I created my Artifact: In order to choose my topic, I first searched on the internet for ideas. I found a video of woman telling her story about her childhood and how she wished she could have talked to someone about how she was treating her kids because they were taken away. So I decided to make a poster about how child abuse effects children and adults, and to encourage parents to reach out for help. I then search the internet for information on what parents could do if they needed help. I then……… AND SO ON….. Target population – Explain who your artifact is intended for? How will this population benefit from your artifact? Explain how they will benefit from what you have created. Where do you intend to display your artifact or post your artifact to have the intended effect? Identify how your artifact contributes to raising awareness of child abuse, preventing child abuse and/or ending child abuse. Reflective process – seek feedback from a peer to assess quality of your artifact and achievement of project goals.
