My thesis statement:
While To The Lighthouse and “Tintern Abbey” uses memory to transfer important information in the text whilst expressing how memories are vital to shaping who the characters/speaker are in their current state, Woolf depicts memory as the catalyst for altered recurrence in To The Lighthouse.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Students will write an academic essay that is a minimum of 1200 words.
2. The essay must be formatted according to MLA format.
3. Each body paragraph will have an explicit topic sentence, and all claims will be supported with direct quotations and textual analysis.
4. The essay must cite and analyze at least six direct (6) quotations in total. Avoid paraphrasing crucial quotations that require interpretation.
5. Students will avoid the use of the pronouns “you” or “your”; they will also avoid contractions like “I’m” and “won’t.”
