There are two related parts to this assignment.
Part A Critical Analysis of two professional learning/development experiences (suggested 1500 words)
In Part A, you are required to discuss and critically analyse two different professional learning/development experiences you have organised or in which you have participated or which you have observed in operation in your workplace in recent years. For example, you might choose a mentoring program and one other professional learning/development experience. You are required to draw on the core readings on effective professional learning and adult learning theories in the unit and beyond to critically analyse the suitability and the effectiveness of these two experiences and how they impacted on you in your workplace.
Part B Develop and discuss our own professional learning/development plan (suggested 1000 words)
In this part of the assignment, you are required to develop your own professional learning/development plan based on your own professional learning goals. First, identify 1 -2 specific professional learning goals and then consider how these goals might be met and formulate a plan that will lead towards achievement of the goal/s. As part of your plan, you are required to justify how the strategies identified in your plan will contribute to meeting your professional learning goals. Further, you need to justify, with support from the relevant academic literature from the unit and beyond, how your plan aligns with principles of adult learning and with effective professional learning. Your plan also needs to include specific indicators for success in meeting those goals and a timeline for meeting those goals.
