• Identify and reflect upon qualities of the nurse leader that you may identify with (include in closing paragraph)
Identify a leader in nursing who is accessible during the semester.
Make an appointment with him or her to conduct an interview.
Create questions of your own to determine their leadership styles.
• How do they facilitate teamwork and collaboration among their units?
• How do they use technology and informatics on their unit?
• What quality improvement initiatives they have instituted on their unit. (please refer to rubric)
• Questions should be developed to not only obtain needed answers but to also elaborate and dive deeper into aspects of leadership and management.
