Prompt: Identify, define, and illustrate “space-time compression” and then do the same for “globalization,” as discussed in Chapter 12 of our textbook. (Chapter 12 will be uploaded to you)
**You must clearly and explicitly engage and cite the textbook throughout your essay. You can do so by citing specific pages and passages, while paraphrasing them; extended block quotes are generally not appropriate for such a short essay.**
You must avoid plagiarizing our book, your classmates, and other scholars. All instances of plagiarism will adversely affect your grade in the course, overall.
Please format as follows: 1) use a size-12 Times New Roman font; 2) double-space everything with 0pt spacing before or after lines, and do not add extra line spaces between paragraphs of the same style; 3) use 1-inch margins all around; 4) include page #’s; 5) put your name and the class information in a header; it does not count towards your page-length requirement. 6) Add a one-line title that includes the prompt you’ve selected; and, 7) use sub-headings if/as you see fit.
In total, your essay may not be <3 full pages without a severe penalty; they probably should not run longer than 8 pages, either. Shoot for 4-5 pages, and you’ll be fine.
