I want you to choose a person from the Civil War era. It can be a woman, a slave, a freed slave, a soldier, or a politician. The person you choose can be Confederate or Union. You are to become that person. I want you to talk about the Civil War from their perspective. You can talk about any aspect of the Civil War, but you must look at it from your characters perspective. In other words, you are no longer living in the 21st century, but have been transported back to the 1860s.
