Finally, construct a well-written short essay that responds to the questions listed above–specifically what makes this event so historically significant. The essay should be anywhere from 600-800 words (approximately 2-3 pages, double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins). It should contain a thesis statement somewhere in the opening paragraph, evidence and historical analysis of that evidence. The essay should also place the historical events discussed in its respective historical context.
