This week you will work on the first draft of the Methods section for your research project. The methods section describes actions taken to investigate a research problem (for example, consolidating weather data in a region over time to analyze changes or viewing satellite imagery of a region over time to interpret differences), like a how-to and provides supplemental justification for why you chose to apply those procedures or techniques to research a region and analyze information to understand the problem (climate change and the effects at your national park). Keep in mind, the methods section of a research paper answers two main questions: How was the data collected or generated? And, how was it analyzed?
